Yes, shares may be purchased in the United States via a sponsored over-the-counter American Depositary Receipt (ADR) program.  These ADRs are managed by Morgan Guaranty Trust in New York (N° 834437-10-5, ticker SVYSY).  One ADR represents one ordinary Solvay share.

6. What is the dividend policy of Solvay?

The policy is to propose a dividend increase to the shareholder’s meeting whenever possible and as far as possible, never to reduce it.  It is the policy to announce an advance dividend in December that is payable in January.  The balance of the dividend is payable in May.

7. When is the annual ordinary Shareholder’s Meeting?

The annual meeting of shareholders is held on the second Tuesday of May at 2.30 p.m. in the Auditorium, 44 rue du Prince Albert, 1050 Ixelles.
